I am so fortunate that I get to see this amazing family behind my camera every year. When this session was over, the kids hopped into the car and said, “See you next year!” I love that, and I love watching families grow. The fact that they have two older girls and then a boy endears them to me even more since that’s what I have! This year mom decided to make it just about the kids and told me we should go for it when I suggested a new location! She has such great style and incredible ideas, so it’s always a fun adventure at their photoshoots. I threw in this new blanket from last fall at the last minute, and the picture of them throwing the blanket in the air is one of my new all time favorites! It was cloudy and rainy the entire day of this shoot, but we were blessed and surprised with the most beautiful sunset. I am very thankful for the friendship with this family and for the support and honor of capturing them each year!
I’m going back now and blogging some of my sessions that I missed last summer and fall. This session was so special to me since it was for the daughter of one of the biggest joys in my life. I knew L from the day she was born, and it was awesome to be able to do her senior pictures. We had lots of fun with different Dallas locations, outfits, and some fun props! It was hot that day, so ending with popsicles from Steel City Pops was perfect. L is heading off to Baylor in the fall, and I couldn’t be more excited for her. Her mother and I roomed together at Baylor our freshman year, and we know first hand the amazing experiences she will have. So many good times ahead, and I will be watching to see all of her success! So thankful that I was able to share this part of her story with her and her wonderful mom!
I love all the sessions that I do, but there is just something so special about High School Seniors. It’s such an exciting time in their lives, with so much ahead of them! This was one of the sessions I had most looked forward to this year. I had the privilege of doing the pictures for one of my best friend’s daughter. Both of them are so special to me, and A was my kid’s babysitter for several years. The pictures are the final product, but the outing and experience are memories, too! I love the locations that she chose, and we used every last bit of sunlight for her session. A is going to attend Baylor in the fall, which is my alma mater, as well as her mom’s. I can’t wait to see and hear about all her experiences there. She brings joy wherever she goes!
What a fun night! We planned for the perfect time and weather to do D’s shoot for months. After all that planning, we could not have asked for a better evening. The light was amazing, and the temperature was perfect. I cannot say enough good things about D. She is kind, polite, confident, decisive, fun, easy to talk to, beautiful, smart, and beyond talented. She is heading to The University of South Carolina to play beach volleyball this fall. What an amazing opportunity and experience for her! So thankful she chose me to capture her High School Senior pictures!
I was so excited when L’s mom contacted me about taking some pictures for her daughter, who is going to Baylor in the fall. Her mom and I were at Baylor together and were sorority sisters! She lived with my “big sister”, and I have lots of memories together at their apartment. Not only is L beautiful, but she is so sweet, and we had a great time together. My favorite was getting to take some pictures of her in a Baylor shirt. How does time go by so quickly! I know L will have an amazing experience at Baylor, just like her mom and I did!
